Rest In Peace

The day I started this blog was the day a bus traveling from Melaka to KL ploughed through the center railing and killed 12 people as a result.


The bus driver died in the crash too.


This happens way too often in Malaysia. With the gahmen in disarray, the transportation industry badly regulated (no surprise if there's lots of corruption in licensing of bus operators and drivers), this will continue to happen.


All to often, the bus drivers are either high on drugs, fatigued (they work on commission, so they'll do as many trips as they can), and just plain reckless (uneducated fellas with no better job prospects having to drive a bus for a living)


Very sad.
